Y Combinator has introduced an option for startups to receive up to $500,000 in stablecoins instead of traditional cash funding. The move aims to support crypto-native founders and companies operating in jurisdictions where banking access is limited or slow. YC said stablecoin funding can speed up deployment, reduce friction in cross-border transactions, and align with startups building in blockchain and fintech sectors, while keeping the same investment terms as standard YC deals.
