World Liberty Financial (WLFI) blacklisted a wallet linked to TRON founder Justin Sun after it moved about $9 million in WLFI tokens. The wallet reportedly held 595 million unlocked WLFI tokens, worth roughly $107 million at the time. Following the freeze, WLFI’s price plummeted 42–50%, sparking market concern. Sun claimed the transactions were merely “exchange deposit tests” with no buying or selling involved and called the blacklist “unreasonable,” urging the team to unlock his tokens. The incident raises questions about WLFI’s governance, centralization, and transparency, highlighting risks when project teams can freeze wallets of major holders.
