Pakistani authorities have dismantled a $60 million crypto scam involving fake digital asset and forex investment platforms that defrauded investors with false profit promises. The crackdown, led by the National Cyber Crime Investigation Agency, comes as Pakistan moves to regulate its crypto sector. As part of new oversight measures, the country has begun issuing preliminary approvals to global exchanges Binance and HTX, signalling a shift toward stricter enforcement alongside a regulated pathway for legitimate crypto firms to enter the market.
