TRON Overtakes Shiba Inu In Market Capitalization
TRX, the native token of Tron, has now surpassed Shiba Inu (SHIB) to become the 14th-largest Cryptocurrency by market value.
The Tron Ecosystem has become the biggest gainer in the recent crash. The major steps taken by the Tron team have proven to be worked for them. Over the past month, the Tron chain has registered a significant gain in its total locked value (TVL). Its TVL increased by 33% to stand at $5.5 Billion.
Both TRX and stablecoin USDD have become the top choices of investors. When the market was down, the TRX token managed to surge by over 30%. At the same time, the leading Cryptocurrency, Bitcoin, fell by 22%. Tron burnt $39.09 million worth of 499.9 million TRX tokens.
In the past 24 hours, a transaction was recorded of sending $8.5 million worth of 106.5 million TRX tokens to an unknown wallet. Although, it is not clear yet whether it was a burn transaction.
The stabelcoin of Tron USDD is trying to seize the opportunity to take the vacant position due to the collapse of TerraUSD. Within one month, the total supply of USDD surpassed 543 million and its 24-hour trading volume stands at $105 million.
The recent rally of the Tron has helped the TRX token to overtake the second-largest meme Cryptocurrency, Shiba Inu. Currently, TRX is the 14th largest Crypto, with a market capitalization of $7.69 Billion. Since the start of the year, SHIB has been losing its value. As of now, Shiba Inu has fallen to the 16th spot with a market cap of $6.3 Billion.
