Mark Cuban Selects “Litecoin” as Payment Option for Dallas Mavericks Fans
Dallas Mavericks fans can now purchase team Merchandise with a new Digital Option. The Billionaire owner of the Franchise, Mark Cuban, announced that followers of the professional basketball organization could use Litecoin (LTC) for online store purchases.
Cuban has always been vocal for multiple crypto projects, and his team supported digital assets at early stages. From March of 2021, the Mavs started supporting payments made with Bitcoin Cash (BCH), USD Coin (USDC), Binance USD (BUSD), Dogecoin (DOGE), Bitcoin (BTC), Gemini Dollar (GUSD), Paxos Standard (PAX), and Ethereum (ETH).
Mark Cuban has been particularly bullish on DOGE, recently, in an interview with CNBC, Cuban asserted that the asset was carving out a niche that gives it an edge over other Cryptocurrencies. Last week, he tweeted that the Mavericks were launching a summer merch sale with “special pricing” for customers paying in Dogecoin.
Moreover, this week the official Twitter account of Litecoin posted a suggestion for Mark Cuban stating, the Mavericks owner could get extra business using LTC. To which Mark Cuban responded by saying that some of his firms allow payments “in any crypto.” However, he didn’t clarify whether or not this flexibility applied to the Mavericks organization.
“I don’t shill Doge. I shill the products and services of my companies. Where we allow people to pay in ANY crypto, 95% of the sales are in DOGE.”
