Japan’s Popular Social Messaging App LINE Launches NFT Marketplace
Currently, the non-fungible token sector is in high demand in the Crypto market. The main reason behind this lies in the opportunities to make money present in the fast-rising sector. More and more traders are entering into NFTs.
The Japan-based messaging platform LINE has announced the launch of its NFT marketplace.
According to the announcement, the LINE NFT marketplace will be available for Japanese users with unique NFT services. The company is also in talks with another entity, Yoshimoto Kogyo for a partnership to achieve its aim. With the latest feature, LINE wants to provide more than 40,000 NFTs on its platform, open to over 90 million users.
LINE will introduce the first few NFTs from Yoshimoto Theatres videos. Additionally, there will be NFT depicting Patlabor, the mobile police. As time goes on, LINE will debut more NFTs on the platform.
LINE will also offer storage space for users who buy NFTs on the platform with the BitMa wallet. The BitMa wallet project was worked on by both LINE and BitMax, a renowned Crypto exchange in the market. The app continued to redefine and redevelop to meet the requirements of the evolving Crypto industry.
Last month, LINE introduced some new features including payment for items using digital assets. However, traders only use LINK tokens to make payments as a digital asset of the platform across several merchants in the country.
In 2018, LINE developed an in-app exchange. Though Japan is aloof on regulating Crypto, there has been a huge demand for NFT. Nomura Holdings, a financial service provider, also entered the Japanese NFT market. Also, Rakuten announced the launch of its NFT marketplace a few months ago.
