Google To Reassess Its Opinion Concerning Crypto Ads
The updated policy of Google will now allow crypto firms to advertise on Google services.
Reportedly, Google’s new policy will come into effect by August 2021. Even though the new policy has stricter registration requirements, it makes room for Online or Custodial Wallets to advertise.
As per the new policy, the cryptocurrency exchanges and wallets that aspire to showcase their advertisements will have to register with a chartered bank or, FinCEN as a Money Services Business. Besides, this business must also comply with state and federal requirements, along with Google Ads policies.
Regardless of the new policy, Google will still ban ads for ICOs, DeFi platforms, and specific cryptocurrencies. Moreover, cryptocurrency ads regarding trading signals, aggregators, and trading advice will be set aside.
