Deloitte’s Survey Predicts a Bright Future for Crypto
A recent survey by four prominent accounting firms revealed that the majority of finance professionals believe Digital Currencies are the Future of Money.
According to Deloitte’s 2021 Annual Global Blockchain Survey, 76% of finance professionals believe Digital Assets will be a strong alternative to or outright replacement for fiat currencies within the next 5-10 years.
The Big Four accounting firm, which rivals KPMG, EY and PwC, has been conducting its annual Blockchain survey for 4 years. This iteration was the first to address how Blockchain would change the commercial landscape. The report surveyed more than 1,000 finance professionals from countries like Brazil, China, Hong Kong, Japan, Singapore, South Africa, United Arab Emirates, United Kingdom and United States.
Out of which, 73% of respondents said their business must adopt Blockchain and Digital assets and eliminate losing a competitive edge by failing to do so. Whereas 81% asserted that Digital asset technology is “broadly scalable and has achieved mainstream adoption.”
Furthermore, Deloitte’s survey asked financial professionals to anticipate the future of Crypto adoption, in which 43% of respondents stated their business would use Crypto as a form of payment while 45% claimed to tokenize their assets.
