DJ David Guetta to Accept 38 Bitcoin for his Luxury Miami Pad
Famous French DJ David Guetta is selling his $14-million Miami beachfront apartment for sale and will accept payments in Bitcoin (BTC) and Ether (ETH).
The 2,528 square foot luxury property is on the 37th floor of the Setai Residences condominium complex. It has two master suites, 24-hour hotel service and amenities, including three oceanfront swimming pools, a sauna and a spa. Freud Group, a real estate firm that mainly caters to celebrities, is hosting the sale.
This isn’t Guetta’s first move in the crypto world. In September, the DJ had signed a partnership with Sensorium Galaxy - a decentralized virtual reality platform. Guetta bought this property for $9.5 million from New York billionaire Richard LeFrak in 2018 and expected to make $4.5 million from the sale.
It seems that Miami is becoming a hotspot for lavish property sales that accept crypto. Last month, Miami’s Arte Surfside luxury apartments, a complex belonging to Ivanka Trump, announced it would accept payments from Bitcoin and Ether.
On May 27, the Freud group sold a four-bedroom penthouse for over $22.5 million entirely in crypto. Reportedly, it is the largest crypto-based real estate sale to date.
Additionally, Miami hosted the 2021 Bitcoin conference and has become a crypto-friendly city due to its Mayor and Potential Bitcoin hodler Francis Suarez. Suarez desires to make Miami a hub for “crypto innovation and is “working day and night” for it.
