Crypto Market Witnessed Liquidations Of $400 Million In 24 Hours
The recent volatility in the Crypto market has led to significant pain for over-leveraged investors. Around $400 million has been liquidated on a 24-hour scale. The reason behind the liquidations is Bitcoin, as it slumped by about $3,000 in a day.
The Crypto market has witnessed the evaporation of $400 billion from the entire market cap in less than a week.
Currently, the “Crypto winter” and “Bear market” are the ongoing terms in the Crypto space, and the Bitcoin situation only worsened since yesterday.
Bitcoin has dropped from the $40,000 mark and plummeted to $38,000 before a sudden price pump. The leading Cryptocurrency further dropped to $36,000, which became the new lowest price point since February 3rd.
Altcoins also witnessed a crash in price. Some top altcoins such as Ripple, Cardano, Avalanche, Dogecoin, Solana, Shiba Inu, MATIC, and CRO have recorded double-digit price drops.
Only Binance and Ethereum are among the few whose price declines are still only by single digits but are in red nonetheless.
The recent market crash has skyrocketed the liquidations and the number of liquidated traders.
According to Coinglass data, $400 million are liquidated since yesterday from more than 120,000 liquidated traders. One of the single-largest orders took place on OKEx and was worth just shy of $4 million.
