Cardano’s (ADA) Price Hits an All Time High, as devs Recommend it to Tesla
The price of Cardano (ADA) has surged to a new all-time after the Cardano Foundation solicited Tesla to accept its ADA cryptocurrency.
In its Twitter post, titled “Cardano x Tesla: An obvious match? The Cardano Foundation published several bullet points comparing itself to Tesla. It drew out the similarities between both parties like scalability, unique solutions, sustainability, and the fact that engineers founded them both.

Cardano creator and IOHK CEO Charles Hoskinson also followed up on the tweet and posted an invitation to Elon Musk: “Are we finally going to have the Cardano conversation? Come to my farm in Longmont with Kimbal. Got sweet tea and minidonkeys?”
Though, Musk did not reply to the comment; Cardano’s efforts to solicit Tesla seem to be welcome given Tesla's announcement of suspending Bitcoin payments. Shortly after the tweet was posted, ADA’s price spiked to $1.96—it’s new all-time high to date.
At first glance, ADA can be a good choice for Tesla, given its high market ranking. It is currently the fourth-largest cryptocurrency, boasting a market cap of $60 billion. Cardano transactions are also confirmed through staking rather than mining, which means it meets one of Tesla's requirements- a coin that utilizes less energy than Bitcoin..
On Twitter, Cardano also claimed that its project is “in line with many U.N. Sustainable Development Goals” and it is also “transforming the industry’s green credentials and reducing environmental impact.” It also added that “running a node is accessible and affordable.”
Despite these advantages, the coin is rarely used in commerce, making it an unlikely choice for Tesla.
