Authorities Of Paraguay Planning To Legislate Bitcoin By July 2021
Paraguay Congressman Carlitos Antonio Rejala Helman has revealed his plans to represent a Bitcoin bill next month.
Rejala Helman took to Twitter and stated his plans to introduce cryptocurrency legislation in July. “This is Paraguay,” “July we legislate!” he tweeted. Earlier Rejala Helman had indicated plans regarding introducing new Bitcoin legislation in June,where he suggested that the country would work on a project of Bitcoin and PayPal.
Presently, El Salvador, the country in Central America, is introducing legislation that will make Bitcoin a form of legal tender, which might influence Rejala Helman’s plans. This type of legislation will make Bitcoin transactions more common between individuals and in commerce.
This news comes directly after one of Paraguay’s largest entertainment companies, Grupo Cinco, reveals its plan of accepting payments in the form of cryptocurrency by July 2021.The Grupo Cinco will accept Bitcoin (BTC), Ethereum (ETH), Shiba Token (SHIB), and Chiliz (CHZ). The group works with companies in the nightlife industry. Moreover, Grupo Cinco will help 24 companies including nightclubs, restaurants, and pubs, accept the cryptocurrencies listed above.
Reportedly, Rejala Helman recalled Grupo Cinco’s plans to adopt cryptocurrency by stating Paraguay’s youth is the country’s “main ally.” Furthermore, he added “a whole new mindset shift is approaching” and voiced “the leap that Paraguay can make is unprecedented.”
